225 acres in Skagit County ready for development

The beautiful grounds of the SWIFT Center, located in the gateway between Seattle and the North Cascades, are primed and ready for development. A historic campus, the SWIFT Center has been reimagined through the efforts of the Port of Skagit, together with many other local partners, as a place brimming with possibility.

The 225-acre campus is home to hundreds of thousands of square feet of Olmsted-designed landscapes, the same architects who designed New York’s Central Park.

The Port of Skagit acquired the property to promote development of a destination mixed-used campus that has research and development, manufacturing, hospitality, and commercial venues all while preserving the historic character and great public spaces at SWIFT.

How do I learn more about the SWIFT Center?

The Port of Skagit retains ownership of the property, and the right developer for the SWIFT Center would become a tenant of the Port. You can learn more about the Port’s competitive lease rates, why a lease tax is more advantageous than property tax, and more at the Port of Skagit website.
